Record your first video

Kiruna turns a plain screen capture into a polished, zoomed-in walkthrough, no editing skills required. Here's how to make your first one.

    Start a recording

    Open Kiruna and click Record. Choose a single window or your whole screen, then walk through whatever you want to show. Kiruna quietly tracks every click and keystroke as you go.

    Let it auto-zoom

    When you stop, Kiruna lays down a smooth camera path that zooms in on each click and glides between them. Press play and the movement is already there, no keyframing required.

    Add a backdrop

    Pick a background and adjust the padding to frame your recording. Rounded corners and a soft shadow come standard, so it looks designed without any fiddling.

    Trim the rough edges

    Drag the handles on the timeline to cut dead air from the start and end, or split a clip to remove a section in the middle. Every edit plays back instantly.

    Export

    Choose a resolution and click Export. Kiruna renders locally on your Mac and saves an MP4 (or GIF) wherever you like.
